 Low-Cost Toilets
Thousand Petals Polyhouses Pvt. Ltd came out with the idea of using Bamboo based structure for the sanitation program initiated by the Zilla Parishad of Sangli district in Maharashtra India. This ‘Nirmal Gram’(‘Immaculate Village’) campaign is targeted towards rural population to have a decent toilet. Thousand Petals Polyhouses Pvt. Ltd created a design which can withstand typical rural requirements using a bamboo, Flex polythene, and shed-net for ventilation and specialized aluminum profile plus steel spring. These toilets are aesthetically appealing, functionally accurate, easy to build and cost effective. The design is validated by NMBA via the structural engineering firm.  These toilets are already installed in 3 remote villages.
